Another good win for the Yankees.

Game just ended, and I feel like writing about it.

This was a really good win for the Yankees. Kennedy struggled early on, but overall he didn't pitch that badly.. Yes, 7 hits and 3 walks over 5 innings is to much, but, he kept the most important stat off the boards.. That would be the runs the Royals scored..

So, thats a good sign at least.

If you were lucky enough to be watching the game on TV, you would have seen Harlan Chamberlain, Joba's father.

Harlan is an amazing man, and I'm sure many of you have read about his life and the trials he has gone through. He was ill, and six years old when he had to leave his reservation. He went through 5 different foster homes. He went through painful and scarring medical procedures. I compel you to click that link above and read the story. It's really something.

And finally, tonight, he gets to see the boy he raised full fill his wildest dreams.. He's able to listen to a young man who is both respectful and well spoken.

He cried tonight, and there isn't anybody, anywhere, with any kind of heart that isn't touched by that.
He could have given up at any point in his life. But he chose to be a good man and a good father, and he raised a great young man.

Go Yankees!
